The Miter-It™ Auto, Pneumatic system saves time and money on performing miter laminations in the shop by eliminating the need for a helper—wherever you would need a hand to hold the material, put a Miter-It™ Auto clamp there instead! This system uses a highly efficient Venturi Vacuum Generator that requires only ½ CFM of compressed (shop) air to provide a continuously strong and reliable hold for up to 10 vacuum cups simultaneously. The user-friendly clamps securely and reliably hold heavy, drop-down edges at 90°, enabling finished-side-up laminations and providing better results than taping methods alone. Seaming the joint finished-side-up offers increased safety for workers and reduced risk of damage to the piece by not having to flip the material for gluing. This also keeps the seam in view for dialing-in perfect joints, and makes clean-up fast and easy. Typically, one Miter-It™ Auto clamp every 3 to 4 feet is sufficient, but more may be used for extra-long or heavy aprons.

Our shop here in Boulder, CO has seen a big increase in customers and designers requesting mitered edges to achieve a thicker looking counter top with out having a laminated (sandwich) edge. The time required to lay-up such an edge was taking quite a bit longer than the standard laminating process so we started looking for a clamp made for this type of work. Most of the clamps we found required an extra step of flipping the material to set the edge or required moving the material off the table a good distance to allow clearance for the clamping function. All these issues were resolved with the Omni Miter-it clamp. Our fabricators were skeptical at first with the simplicity of the design, then asked us to order more clamps after the first job went so smooth. The miter process is now faster for us than the laminating process and we are able to sell this better looking edge for more $ than the lam at a lower fabrication cost. We are super happy with all the products from Omni and this clamp is certainly a winner with us.
